EVOX 712GTP Turbocharger

Our EVOX 712GTP turbo features a billet compressor wheel and larger turbine wheel. This turbo delivers lower back pressure and increased compressor flow great for stock and modified 2.0 litre engines. At this time these turbochargers are only available as an exchange upgrade when you provide a suitable EVOX turbocharger.

Results hopefully by end of next week. I am expecting it to perform very similar to the EVO9 712GTP which has made in the range 285-310wkW on E85.

So excuse my ignorance but are both the compressor and exhaust housing stock? I.e. you machine them out and fit the new core? Reason i ask is we can run different cores but we have to retain the stock housings?

Thanks

Brendon

We machine out the stock housings. The standard center bearing housing is used with larger compressor wheel and turbine wheel installed.

Have you got a dyno graph of one yet? Keen to see when it comes on boost compared to a stock one.

Excited to be tuning one next week! :)

SST car, but I'll get some good graphs with spool on the road in 3rd and 4th hopefully, for real world numbers.

yep RTR already has it i believe

should be ready to tune for you next wednesday

my car will probably be the best case scenario for testing this turbo with stage 1 cams and intercooler

do these use genuine oem rear housings or the chinese/taiwanese ones? as i have heard of some other evo 10 turbos with the rear housing melting :S

It's tuned, and it's good :)

I'll let Sam post the results... very finicky getting the boost just right (0.5% WGDC making a 1psi change to boost!) but that was probably the crappy tuner :)

and we were right on the limit of his fuel system.

power almost perfectly overlays the stock unit until a bit before 4500 from memory. then leaves it behind.

And Mark was bang on with his power prediction.

we will get some road logs soon!

Mark was pretty happy with the findings on the RTR 'heartbreaker' dyno when I spoke to him today. This is THE turbo if you are looking at upgrading turbos and aiming for around the 300kW mark, plus the spool.... 26psi @ 3,300rpm!!!

Tune coming up shortly on a 5MT Evo10, GSC S2 cams and a 712GTP, E85 fuel.

I think this thing could be good for 320+, not bad for a turbo that spools up so early

Stay tuned kids :)

Yeah i think its safe. Torque is more the issue.

Adam tuned mine to 311kw atw on Eflex about 3 weeks ago now. Its a monster now.MHI but no cams and stock cooler. Also the 65c Pump i think was a bad choice. Should have went 300w maybe could have got more out of it.

Also 300 on an SST is about the same stress on the motor as 320 in a 5mt.

Remember the sst is sucking up power.

Here's another nice result

Absolutely my favourite turbo for a stock block X right now, assuming you've got E85 on hand

5MT

712GTP turbo

GSC S2 cams

full 3" exhaust, UICP, AEM intake box

United E85, FIC1100, DW300 pump

ignore the "Torque Total" plot, I put the wrong setting in the dyno software. It's ~480nM. Toned it down slightly for daily use.

These results look really good, this time round will surely go one of your turbos, CBF dealing with FP. Mark any 762 for the X etc? From your site I can only see the 712 so far. The eventual Goal for my car would be 300-400kw with built motor and dodsons and Dual map when it comes for newer X's running 98 for street and e85 for drag and track.
