EVO9 762GTP results post dyno sheets here

Recommended Posts

Results from Benny.

Some results on a pretty standard style build.

- GTP762 turbo

- Manifold

- Cams

- injectors, pump, 3-port

- 98 tune at ~25psi peak, 24.5psi taper.

- Makes 20.5psi at 4200rpm in 3rd, 3900rpm in 4th, the big push happens high 4's and its doesn't back off until the limiter at 8k.

Great turbo, nice whistle on spool, monster mid-top end considering its just on 98 atm. Gave it back to the customer for two weeks to see if he can break it, will be re-tuning on ethanol next week.

Ok...762 now on E-flex.

Pretty much the same boost as the 98 tune to give an indication of back to back results.

Yianni_762_Eflex_24psi.jpg

More results.

Stock block 6

- TXS exhaust

- Meek intake kit

- HDI cooler kit

- 1050's / Walbro

- 3-port

- 98 tune on ~24psi.

- E-flex tune on ~24.5psi, ramping up to 27psi

Needs cams badly. Car made only 7wkw gain in 3psi over 24, ramp up was mainly torque related.

Phil_762_dualmap.jpg

More results.

2.4, all supporting mods.

Making ~30psi by ~3850 in 3rd.

So as mentioned above this is the vdr from the initial tune after the 2.4L rebuild;

Since that tune I rewired fuel pump and added an aftermarket fuel reg kit. Also dropped the boost down to 30psi because more then that is unnecessary for what I use the car for.

Here is an interesting comparison between my old setup (Stock block, 9RS, eflex 223kw @ 22psi) and the current 2.4 build;

VD_9RS_762_24_zps3b5c58d4.jpg

Absolutely loved the old setup due to the instant spool of the 9rs so when shopping for a new turbo to suit the 2.4 response was high in my priorities. Definitely very happy with how this turbo responds.

- Fuel system to suit.

98 tune at 25psi

You're telling me! It ran off the map at 25psi (240 loading). Bigger map needed! Indy tried rescaling but he said it didn't work.

I'll be leaving it like this untill I scrape some more cash together, new cooler & piping, ecu, mani's, clutch then tune to around 400wkw. Should suffice for a streeter, without breaking shit all the time :)

If you like mid-top end charge it works great on a 2L.

You need to run Ethanol though.

going to be fitting one of these beauties onto a 2.0 vehicle in around 2 weeks time. Will upload the results for everyone to see. Quite excited to see what the vehicle will do.

More 762 results.

- Manley billet 2.2

- Ported head

- GSC S2's

- Stock manifolds

Stopped at this boost as it needs better venting of the rocker cover.

Nice! does the power flatline after 6000rpm because its out of injector? Itd be good to see it with 32psi and some 2000's.

Recent dyno run from my car.

Evo 6 with a built Evo 9 Mivec 2.0L motor:

- 762GTP,

- GSC S2 cams

- Bosch 1700cc injectors

- Plazmaman intercooler kit

- Full Race manifold

- 84mm FP silicone intake pipe with Apexi power intake

- Turbo XS 3 inch exhaust

- Tuned by Mike Dale Automotive on United E85.

We think the muffler on the Turbo XS exhaust is restrictive as the turbo wasn't making huge gains above 26-27psi

Even in 3rd gear, the car is incredibly drivable in traffic, and the turbo spools up nicely for a 2.0L, and continues to make power to 8000rpm.

Look forward to ironing out a few more bugs, improving a few supporting mods before winding the boost up a little more :)

Thanks James.

^ The engine is still 2L. This turbo provided reliable, usable power.

Mark has produced an awesome turbo that is a proven winner over a lot of other big brands from overseas.

Nice work Dan, and congrats on P1 in Clubsprint at WTAC.

Recent result from my car with a 2.0L Mivec 762gtp combo running relatively conservative boost.

Extremely happy with the turbo thus far.
