Ivan,

Are the rotors made by x3e ? or are they branded by another company ?

They seem like a good thing, just curious to find out a bit more about them...

Cheers...

These are our exclusive products, the moulds are our design, based on simple classic racing knowledge.

All the information are in the introduction of this thread.

Hi,

Latest 2pc rotors are in and are also cryogentic treated.

Evo X has 2pc semi floating or Full-floating. (no plans for 1 piece type, sorry.)

Evo 4~9 has only semi-floating design.

I will be able to post a new thread soon.

Cheers, ivan

However, developing a new 2 piece full floating rotor now! New test sample should be here in 2 weeks. The latest full floating parts are all stainless steel.

Prices:

b. Race 2 pc Full floating (with cryogen treatment) $899

Evo X is full floating only;

a. Street 2 pc semi-floating $650

b. Street 2 pc Full floating (without cryogen treatment) $850

c. Track/Race 2 pc Full floating (with cryogen treatment) $1050

IMPORTANT note: all floating parts are Stainless Steel, bolts and nuts are High tensile steel. Total of 12 mounting points. (some budget 2 pc rotors use only 8 mounting points, most use 10 points.)

Ivan, Can you explain abit further about the differences between the "track" and "race" model? (besides one is semi float, one is full float). I'm very interested in the up coming 2 piece.

The Full Floating allows better expansion of the rotor upon high temperatures at extended races. The full floating design has blocks to resist braking forces, whereas the semi-floating only as a bolt shudder, thus a lot less contact area. Full floating also allows more re-uses of the alloy hat, whereas the semi-floating design usually wear the alloy hat out by the 2nd rotor change, if used hard may only allow one rotor change, all depends on the condition of the hat. Full floating has its advantages but the down side is the initial cost.

Most track days are short sessions, may NOT get the rotors as hot. This semi-floating does suit most track day use.

I even offer the Street option as some would like to have the 2 pc for street duties without the cryogen treatment that aids material wear and strength.

Hope this helps, ivan

Latest Stocks are in! Updated the 1st post.

Now with 18 slots for the serious TRACK look as well as performance!

These are silver zinc plated for rust prevention on the hats that many low cost or unplated hats rust after a few weeks.

Same LOW prices!

More Slots for better de-gassing and removing water when raining. Plus the real aggressive looks too!

Thanks for the great feedback on the Track pads.

Enjoy, ivan

Just for those that have doubts about the quality of these rotors due to them being so cheap, Ivan was kind enough to get me out of a fix 2 days before an event early February by sending me a set of these rotors as my 2 piece set were worn beyond use. I ran these rotors for this 2 day tarmac rally event (Targa Wrest Point) and finished up winning the early modern category and coming 5th outright, at times was running 3rd outright in front of Tony Quinn in his R35 GTR.

Not bad for a 13 year old car running a budget set of brake rotors!

Paired up with good fluid and a quality set of pads the rotors were flawless all weekend and are still have plenty of life left in them.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these rotors to anyone on this forum for use on their evo. Quality products don't always have to cost the earth.
